With a deep love of storytelling and collaboration, Selin Yaman is a highly respected screen producer who has worked across television, film and advertising for thirty years. Selin possesses a unique ability to synthesise her experience to find clarity in complexity and focus in uncertainty. These invaluable skills are applied with humour and compassion in all areas of her work - be it script development, production challenges, project crisis management or managing competing priorities between stakeholders. ​
Her television work includes SBS’s John Safran’s Music Jamboree and John Safran vs God, both AFI winners with Writers Guild Awards and LOGIE nominations. For ABC, she produced The Bazura Project. As Head of Production at Renegade Films, she managed business affairs and production as the company expanded with Rockwiz, Wilfred, and multiple factual series.
Her festival shorts include Ink (dir. Justine Wallace, MIAF 2009), On the Other Ocean (dir. Amiel Courtin-Wilson, MIFF 2006), and Piñata (dir. Sian Davies, MIFF 2009). In 2015, she produced Amos Gebhardt’s award-winning video artwork There Are No Others.
Selin has worked extensively as a freelance producer, managing business affairs and production across documentary, factual, entertainment, and high-end TV commercials.
She holds degrees in Media Studies and Business Administration, studied screenwriting and development, is an alum of the Rotterdam Producers Lab, and a recipient of a Women in Leadership Development grant from the Natalie Miller Fellowship and VicScreen. In 2024, Selin launched feature film development and production company Sibel Pictures.
